Suavis Iratunga to officiate crucial WAFCON clash between Morocco and Ghana  


Burundian referee Suavis Iratunga has been appointed to officiate the highly anticipated Women’s Africa Cup of Nations semifinal match between Morocco and Ghana. The game is scheduled for July 22, 2025, at 20:00 local time at the Rabat Olympic Stadium.

Iratunga will be assisted by Carine Atezambong Fomo (Cameroon) and Fides Bangirambona (Burundi), with Aline Marie Noelle Guimbang Etong (Cameroon) serving as the fourth official. The VAR team will consist of Letticia Antonella Viana (Eswatini) as the VAR, Abdalaziz Yasir Ahmed Abdalaziz (Sudan) as the (AVAR I), and Diana Chikotesha (Zambia) as the (AVAR II).

With both teams vying for supremacy, Iratunga’s role will be crucial in ensuring fair play and maintaining the integrity of the game. Morocco will look to leverage home support, while Ghana aims to showcase their prowess on the continental stage.
