Leading NPP stalwart Musah Superior has launched a strong defense of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (DMB), warning party members and critics to stop holding him accountable for the failures, arrogance, or recklessness of people in his campaign circles.
In a statement addressing concerns widely shared online, Superior admitted that some individuals may have had unpleasant encounters with persons linked to Bawumia’s team from ignored calls and messages to disappointment in times of need. But he insisted such experiences should not translate into resentment for the NPP flagbearer.
“DMB must not bear your brunt for your issues with other persons. He mustn’t be punished for someone’s failure to do the right thing, arrogance or recklessness. He must not incur your displeasure because an individual working for him incompetently managed a situation you were involved in,” Superior stressed.
He further argued that even campaign volunteers like himself could be reasons some people decide not to support Bawumia, but that should never be used as justification to discredit the Vice President.
According to him, Bawumia has received “massive feedback” on grievances raised both publicly and privately, and has already begun taking steps to fix the concerns a move Superior described as resonating well with the grassroots.
The blunt intervention is seen as a direct response to growing murmurs within the party that some of Bawumia’s close associates are alienating potential supporters, a situation that could weaken his campaign machinery if not urgently addressed.
