The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Upper East Regional Youth Organizer, Salahu-Deen Musah Al-Khomeini, has thrown his weight behind former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, declaring him the party’s surest bet to secure victory in the 2028 general elections.
Speaking in an interview on Bolgatanga-based A1 Radio, Salahu-Deen praised Dr. Bawumia’s leadership style, describing him as the only figure capable of restoring hope and driving Ghana’s economic transformation.
“The youth revolving around Dr. Bawumia is not for nothing but for his forward-thinking, niche vision, and solution-driven agenda for growth. Didn’t you see during his filing? The crowd, majority youth from different regions and religions, came to support him and listen to his ideas. He is the only one who can save this country, which the NDC is already messing up,” he remarked.
He accused the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) and President John Dramani Mahama of abandoning cocoa farmers and losing the fight against illegal mining, which he said has left many Ghanaians disillusioned.
According to him, Dr. Bawumia’s digital-driven vision is what Ghana needs in today’s technological era to revive the economy and safeguard the future.
“As a party, we need someone who can bring innovative ideas and practical solutions, and that person is Dr. Bawumia,” he stressed.
The outspoken youth organizer, who is also seeking to become the NPP’s Upper East Regional Secretary, urged party faithful across the country to unite behind Dr. Bawumia’s leadership. He expressed confidence that with collective effort, the NPP can return to power in 2028.
