Ghanaian Afro-Dancehall superstar, Fancy Gadam, gave an emotional tribute to late Upper West musical talent Game Boy Waalu during a powerful performance at the Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University (DHLTU) SRC Week celebration in Wa.
Taking fans down memory lane, Fancy Gadam performed “Waiting”, a collaborative track he shared with the late Waalu in honor of the beloved dancehall artist who passed away on October 9, 2021.
The performance stirred the crowd as Fancy paused to reflect on Waalu’s impact and legacy.
In a heartfelt moment, Fancy Gadam announced plans to release a new Wala song before the end of the year as a way of preserving Waalu’s cultural imprint and celebrating their shared roots.
The multiple award-winning star also thrilled the crowd with a live rendition of his latest smash hit “Maramma”, which has been gaining momentum across the country.
With his GhanaFest performance in New York scheduled for August 2, Fancy Gadam is clearly on a mission to take the North to the world.
