Akundaare’s second Vom Yela Dinner draws mammoth crowd to Namoo

Akundaare Paul Awinbisa on January 3, 2026, successfully hosted the second edition of the Vom Yela End-of-Year Dinner Party at the Namoo Catholic Social Center, drawing a mammoth crowd of more than 140 participants for an evening of reunion, reflection, and community bonding.

The Vom Yela initiative, which began as a radio program on Recas FM with Awinbisa as host, has evolved into a vibrant social platform that connects listeners and community members beyond the airwaves. The dinner has become a key highlight of the program’s impact, creating space for networking, cultural expression, and the strengthening of relationships among participants from diverse backgrounds.

This year’s edition built on the success of the maiden event, which was held on February 29, 2025, and received wide commendation for promoting unity and shared identity among community members. The continuous growth of the dinner, from its well-attended debut to an even larger gathering this year, reflects the increasing influence and relevance of the Vom Yela community initiative.

Speakers at the event praised Awinbisa’s vision and dedication, noting that Vom Yela has become more than a social gathering, it is a platform for dialogue, inspiration, and community empowerment. Attendees enjoyed moments of entertainment, storytelling, and goodwill messages as they reflected on the journey so far and looked ahead to future editions.

Organizers expressed appreciation to participants and supporters, emphasizing that the sustained success of Vom Yela demonstrates the community’s commitment to togetherness and collective growth. Plans are already underway to expand the event and deepen its social impact in the years ahead.
