Mobile money vendor shot dead in Krofrom robbery

A young woman, Patricia Nimako, believed to be in her early 30s, was shot and killed by armed robbers at Krofrom, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred on Thursday, February 13, around 3:00 PM, while she was working at her mobile money shop.

Eyewitness Nana Yaw reported that the assailants approached from behind the shop, brandished a firearm, and demanded money. After shooting her twice, they fled with the cash.

She was rushed to Manhyia Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Isaac Owusu, Assembly Member for the Odumase-CPC Electoral Area, confirmed the incident, stating that the robbers entered through the back of her shop, fired the fatal shots, and escaped on a motorbike.
