Saboba SHS fire: Headmaster seeks support for traumatized students

A fire outbreak at Saboba EP Senior High School in the Northern Region has left the school in turmoil. The blaze, which occurred on Wednesday afternoon, completely destroyed a girls’ dormitory, claiming the life of one student and reducing personal belongings to ashes.

The tragedy has disrupted academic activities, forcing students to seek shelter in classrooms. Headmaster Prosper Kofi Tedoku has made a passionate appeal for urgent support, as affected students are left with nothing but the uniforms they were wearing.

“The students are deeply traumatized. Some collapsed from the shock of the incident and had to be rushed to the hospital,” Mr. Tedoku said. He revealed that 66 students were severely affected by the fire.

“The dormitory is completely destroyed. We had two blocks for the girls, and one has been entirely consumed by the flames,” he added, calling on individuals and organizations to assist the school during this difficult time.
