The Office of the President has directed all government institutions to provide detailed payroll information on staff members added since December 7, 2024.
This move, initiated under the John Mahama administration, seeks to enhance transparency and accountability in managing government payroll records.
Heads of institutions are required to submit the full name, designation, employee identification number (if applicable), date of appointment, and date of payroll inclusion for each new employee.
The information must reach the Office of the President by January 31, 2025.
The directive underscores the need for accurate data to maintain the integrity of the government’s payroll system.
Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff, assured institutions of support and encouraged them to contact the Office of the President for further clarification if needed.
