EPA boss pledges commitment to Environmental Protection

Prof. Nana Ama Browne Klutse, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), has reaffirmed her dedication to safeguarding Ghana’s environment.

In a statement shared on her X page, Prof. Klutse emphasized her commitment to advancing the EPA’s mission.

This followed a meeting with the outgoing Executive Director, Mr. John Kingsley Krugu, on January 22, aimed at ensuring a smooth leadership transition.

During the meeting, Mr. Krugu provided an extensive briefing on the EPA’s current operations, highlighting its recent elevation from an agency to an authority—a change that grants it an expanded mandate for environmental protection.

Prof. Klutse, a distinguished climatologist and lecturer at the University of Ghana, brings a wealth of expertise in climate dynamics, variability, and impact assessment to her new role.

With her focus on serving Ghanaians and promoting environmental sustainability, Prof. Klutse has set a clear agenda for her tenure.

Her leadership promises a renewed commitment to preserving Ghana’s natural resources and addressing pressing environmental challenges.
