The Assin South Member of Parliament and Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, Reverend John Ntim Fordjour, has hailed Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s ongoing Thank You Tour as a powerful force for reinvigorating the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the grassroots level.

According to the MP, the tour has not only boosted morale within the party’s rank and file but has also reignited a renewed sense of commitment among party activists ahead of the December 2024 general elections.

Speaking to journalists during one of the tour stops, Rev Ntim Fordjour described the reception accorded Dr Bawumia as overwhelming and a clear indication of the party’s strength across all regions.

He noted that the enthusiasm shown by party members and supporters was a testament to Dr Bawumia’s leadership appeal and the strong connection he shares with the base of the NPP.

“This tour has awakened a new wave of optimism and unity within our ranks,” he said.

Rev Ntim Fordjour also emphasised the strategic importance of the tour, stressing that it is allowing the 2024 flagbearer to directly engage with party foot soldiers, recognise their contributions, and assure them of their vital role in the campaign ahead.
