The Palace of Kanvili Diema Naa has issued a directive restricting all entertainment activities within the Kanvili enclave unless authorized by the chief.
In a statement dated September 4, 2025, the palace announced that no musical shows, concerts, or social events will be permitted at entertainment centers and venues stretching from Pipers through to King David without the prior knowledge and approval of the Kanvili Diema Naa.
The palace explained that the measure is rooted in tradition, emphasizing that the blessing and authority of the chief must precede such gatherings in order to maintain peace, security, and cultural integrity.
“Respect for leadership is the foundation of harmony, and no progress is possible without order,” the statement read. It added that the directive seeks not to stifle creativity but to preserve dignity, unity, and the values of the land.
The Kanvili Diema Naa assured artists and event organizers of his commitment to supporting the growth of arts, music, and culture. He further encouraged the creative community to work hand in hand with traditional leadership to uplift Kanvili’s entertainment industry while safeguarding its traditions.
The statement concluded with a call for cooperation, stressing that discipline and collective responsibility remain the strength of the community.
