Renowned broadcast journalist Afia Pokua, popularly known as Vim Lady, has strongly endorsed Hon. Ablah Dzifa Gomashie following her nomination as Ghana’s Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts.
Vim Lady lauded Gomashie’s extensive experience and deep understanding of the creative arts industry, describing her as “overqualified” for the role.
“When she was the top actress in Ghana, many in this generation were not even born. She is a senior creative person who understands the industry better than most people. A perfect choice for the ministry. Congrats Honourable!” she stated.
Dzifa Gomashie, a veteran actress, producer, screenwriter, and politician, previously served as Deputy Minister of Tourism from 2013 to 2017 under the John Mahama-led NDC administration.
Beyond politics, she has significantly contributed to preserving Ghana’s cultural heritage as a queen mother in the Aflao Traditional Area, spearheading initiatives that promote tradition and community development.
Currently, Gomashie is the NDC parliamentary candidate for the Ketu South Constituency, continuing her commitment to national development through culture and politics.
