No freeze on public sector jobs – Finance Minister clears the air

Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has firmly dismissed claims of a hiring freeze in the public sector, assuring Ghanaians that recruitment remains active.

Speaking in an interview with Channel One TV on Wednesday, March 12, Dr. Forson debunked speculations suggesting the government had halted new appointments.

“There is no freeze on employment,” he stated emphatically, adding that hiring would continue based on the country’s economic needs. His clarification comes at a time of rising concerns about job availability, especially among the youth.

The Finance Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to job creation and improving employment conditions.
