Reggae music icon Duane Stephenson is set to electrify the 2025 Kuchoko Roots Festival at La Pleasure Beach, Accra, on Saturday, March 8.
Eager to reciprocate the love Ghanaian fans have shown him, Duane promises an unforgettable performance.
“It’s my turn to return the love,” he told Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on Friday, alongside fellow reggae star Kenyatta Hill and festival organiser Blakk Rasta.
He assured fans of a high-energy show, backed by strong vibes despite traveling with only his keyboardist and manager.
Beyond the music, Duane is captivated by Ghana’s hospitality and the cultural connections between Ghanaian and Jamaican cuisines.
“The whole stew concept—the way of preparing it—is absolutely the same. Our national dish, ackee, comes from here,” he shared.
Kenyatta Hill added to the excitement, promising “spiritual enlightenment and good, edifying music.”
Festival organiser Blakk Rasta revealed that 17 artistes would grace the stage, urging reggae lovers to turn up and prove that “reggae is still alive.”
Tickets are available at GH₵50 on kuchoko.com, Akwaaba.app, and at the gate.
Gates open at 8:00 AM, with performances kicking off at 2:00 PM.
