Ernest Yaw Kumi, the late law maker was a Ghanaian politician and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Akwatia.
Ernest Kumi was elected in December 2024 after a fiercely contested race, the second he contested the seat.
His brief tenure was marked by legal challenges, including a overturned contempt conviction in June 2025 .
Sadly Ernest Kumi passed away on July 7, 2025 at the age of 40. He reportedly died from heart attack or a cardiac arrest.
