The Ministry of Defence has successfully repaired the faulty oxygen plant at the 37 Military Hospital.
During a working visit to the hospital, Defence Minister Dr. Omane Boamah was informed about the critical state of the plant, which supplies oxygen to surgical theatres, intensive care units, and hospital wards. Officials warned that failure to address the issue promptly could have serious consequences.
In response, Dr. Boamah, acting on President John Dramani Mahama’s directive, collaborated with the National Security Coordinator to resolve the problem.
New equipment was procured and installed, restoring oxygen production and supply for both the 37 Military Hospital and the National Ambulance Service.
Announcing the intervention on social media, Dr. Boamah emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring human security as part of its broader efforts to reset Ghana.
“We’re committed to solving problems, including fixing the mismanaged economy,” he stated.
