Zabzugu: Four dead, three injured in Dagomba-Konkomba clash

A violent clash between Dagombas and Konkombas in Zabzugu in the Northern region has resulted in four deaths and three injuries.

According to reports, the conflict erupted in Kuntumbiyili, a Konkomba community in Zabzugu, after a group of Dagombas went hunting in the area.

Locals say that during the hunting expedition, a bushfire was set, which destroyed farm sheds belonging to some Konkombas.

This led to a confrontation, escalating into a gun battle between the two groups.

Security forces, including the military stationed in Zabzugu, swiftly intervened to prevent further escalation. Calm has been restored, but tensions remain high.
