The National Association of Bimoba, Moba & Gurma (NABMAG) has strongly condemned the brutal killing of five Bimobas in an attack on a bus at Loagri near Walewale in the North East Region.
The attack, which occurred on February 14, 2025, involved unidentified gunmen who opened fire on a bus traveling from Widana in the Upper East Region to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The assailants also set the bus on fire, burning four victims, including a baby, beyond recognition. Another victim died in the hospital the following day.
In a statement, NABMAG’s National President, Amos Konsab, clarified that the Bimoba, Moba, and Gurma communities are not involved in the ongoing Bawku conflict.
The association urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.
NABMAG also called on its members in Ghana, Togo, and Burkina Faso to remain calm as they await the investigation’s outcome.
