Forward Jerry Afriyie is set to rejoin the Black Satellites squad for their U-20 Africa Cup of Nations game against Egypt.
Ghana face the host nation in the quarterfinal of the competition on Monday, May 12.
Joy Sports understands the player is already en route to the team’s base in Egypt ahead of the game that could see them secure a spot at the next FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Afriyie had departed the team’s camp after the first two games in the group stage following an agreement between the Ghana Football Association and his club CD Lugo.
He missed Ghana’s third group game against Central African Republic, claiming a 1-0 win courtesy Joseph Opoku.
His return could be a boost for Desmond Ofei’s side who are now one win away from a place at the global stage.
Ghana’s game against Egypt is on Monday with kick off scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
