-

Golden Kick FC claimed a clean sweep of the individual awards on a memorable evening at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium after beating Attram De Visser 3-1 to reach a historic MTN FA Cup final on Saturday.

Midfielder Bless Ege was named Best Player of the match following a dominant performance that capped off a brilliant all-round display by the Accra-based Division One side. Ege’s tireless work in midfield and crucial third goal two minutes into the second half proved decisive, sealing his side’s place in their first-ever MTN FA Cup final.

Golden Kick’s captain and defensive stalwart, Roland Grippman, was adjudged Best Defender for his commanding presence at the back. He marshalled the defense with authority, ensuring the team remained compact and composed throughout the match.

Rising star Dacosta Owusu took home the Most Promising Player award, highlighting the depth of talent within the squad and underscoring the club’s commitment to youth development.

The match itself began with a dramatic opener in the 16th minute, when Attram De Visser goalkeeper Dawuud Ishaque inadvertently turned the ball into his own net. Six minutes later, Golden Kick doubled their lead through David Amuzu, who calmly slotted home to give his side a comfortable cushion heading into halftime.

Bless Ege’s well-taken goal early in the second half extended the lead to 3-0, effectively ending the contest despite a brilliant consolation goal from Attram De Visser’s Precious Yaw Gyimah, who struck with a thumping header to offer a glimmer of hope that ultimately came too late.

The comprehensive win not only booked Golden Kick FC a spot in the final but also etched their name in Ghanaian football history. They now become just the third second-tier side to reach the final of the MTN FA Cup, joining the ranks of 2011 champions Nania FC and 2016 runners-up Okwahu United.
