JoyNews is hosting a special national dialogue to address the controversial Legislative Instrument (L.I.) 2462, which permits mining activities in Ghana’s forest reserves.
The dialogue brings together key stakeholders — including environmental advocates, legal experts, civil society actors, and policymakers — to deliberate on the ecological, legal, and social implications of L.I. 2462.
It comes amid rising public pressure and a growing national campaign urging the government to repeal the regulation, which many argue threatens the country’s forest and water resources.
