Black Satellites Announce Strong Starting Lineup for Group C clash Against Central African Republic

-

Ghana’s Black Satellites have named a strong starting XI for their final TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group C match against the Central African Republic, set to kick off at 18:00 local time (15:00 GMT) at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia.

With qualification to the quarterfinals within reach, the technical team has shuffled the lineup with key returns and a fresh start for two others. Andrews Adjabeng, Abdul Sulemana and Ishmael Addo are back in the starting setup after missing out on the last game, bringing added energy and experience in midfield and attack respectively. Meanwhile, defender Maxwell Azafokpe and Joseph Aidoo earn their first starts of the tournament.

Aaron Essel leads the team today as captain, with regular squad skipper Ofori McCarthy starting from the bench.

Despite sitting in second place in Group C, the Satellites are determined to finish the group stage on a high. A victory today would not only put a stamp on automatic qualification to the quarterfinals but also build strong momentum heading into the knockout phase of the tournament.

The Satellites team will be looking to assert dominance early and maintain control throughout the 90 minutes against a Central African Republic side still fighting for survival.

The entire nation is once again expected to rally behind the Black Satellites as they aim to advance with pride and purpose in this year’s tournament.
