Leaders Swedru All Blacks drop points, Rospak FC closes gap in Zone Two


Zone Two leaders Swedru All Blacks title hopes were hit a huge blow after they suffered a 1-0 loss to Skyy FC at the Gyandu Park. The Swedru lads went into the game hoping extend their lead at the top of the table in Zone Two but Evans Egbe stunned them with a 12th minute goal to win the day for Skyy FC. Swedru All Blacks remain at the top of the table with 54 points after 24 League matches – one point ahead of close contenders Rospak FC.

Meanwhile Rospak FC kept their title hopes alive with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Bekwai Heroes. Emmanuel Junior Quarshie’s stoppage-time goal secured all three points for the Sekondi lads who now trail Swedru All Blacks by just one point with 53 points from 24 matches.

Asekem FC secured a 3-2 victory over Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs at the Dr. KK Sarpong Stadium on Sunday. Justice Awuah scored a brace (17th and 71st minutes) and Mohammed Atta Fuseini also scored, while Emmanuel Osei scored twice for Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs.
