A Deputy Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Owusu Bempah has insisted that the streets and the grassroots are rooting for Kennedy Agyapong to lead the New Patriotic Party.
He says he has reached this conclusion from his interactions with the ordinary Ghanaian.
Therefore, claims that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia must be presented for another election do not hold water and will not work in the 2028 elections.
Owusu Bempah is of the opinion that the party’s leadership must listen to what the people want and not what they think is right.
He was speaking to Oyerepa TV in an interview whe he made this known.
“I do not sit here and speak on my own but rather, I listen to the grassroots and the ordinary Ghanaian and they are saying they want Kennedy Agyapong. With the voting dynamics changing, we cannot say we presented Akufo-Addo for three times before he won so same must be done.
I was almost heckled in New York because the people said they have told us the person they want but we have decided to choose the candidate we want and so they won’t vote for us. That us why we need to bring Kennedy Agyapong,” he told Oyerepa TV.
