A deadly gun attack at a drinking spot in Binduri District, Upper East Region, has left three people dead and three others injured, heightening tensions in the area.
The incident occurred on Sunday night, March 24, 2025, near the Binduri market, when unidentified gunmen on motorbikes stormed the venue and opened fire.
Eyewitnesses say the assailants fired indiscriminately, killing three victims on the spot. Three others sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
While the motive behind the attack remains unclear, security sources suspect a possible link to the ongoing Bawku chieftaincy conflict, which has fueled sporadic violence in the region.

The attack has sparked fear among residents, with many calling for a stronger security presence to prevent further bloodshed.
