Ghana’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, is set to brief the media on Monday, March 24, 2025, regarding actions taken on cases under investigation, including those linked to the much-anticipated ORAL report.
The announcement was made by Government Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu via social media, confirming that the Attorney General will provide a comprehensive update on efforts to ensure accountability and justice.
The ORAL Committee, a five-member investigative body, presented its report to President Nana Akufo-Addo on February 10, 2025.
The committee received a total of 2,417 complaints, comprising 44 petitions, 924 emails, and 1,493 phone calls.
Following the presentation, the President tasked the Attorney General with taking swift action, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to fighting corruption.
“Ghana is no longer a safe haven for corruption. To those who stand for integrity, accountability, and the rule of law, I assure you that this government remains your steadfast partner in building a nation where honesty and hard work are rewarded,” the President stated.
Monday’s media briefing is expected to shed light on the status of investigations and outline measures being taken to prosecute offenders.
