Acting Chief Executive of the Ghana Shippers Authority, Prof. Ransford Gyampo, has vowed to prevent the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from returning to power.
In a bold statement, the outspoken academic and political analyst insisted that he would ensure the party remains in opposition indefinitely by blocking what he described as their “fraudulent deals and contracts.”
“Activate all mouth cameras! We will multi-task in serving Ghana by cutting all their fraudulent deals and contracts, and in making sure that those who know nothing about governance never get close to the corridors of power,” he asserted.
Prof. Gyampo further claimed that the NPP blames him for their defeat in the 2024 elections and continues to attack him.
However, he dismissed their criticisms, stating that if he was powerful enough to push them out of power, he would now be even more powerful in keeping them out.
“They say I made them lose the 2024 elections, so they will keep attacking me. If I am that powerful to kick them out of power, then I would be more powerful in keeping them in opposition, now that they don’t have power. I’m unattackable,” he added.
His remarks have since sparked discussions, with some questioning whether a public official should take such an openly partisan stance.
Meanwhile, NPP supporters have criticized his comments, accusing him of bias.
