Coach Otto Addo trains with all 23 players ahead of Chad game on Friday

The Black Stars of Ghana held their second training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday 18th March. Coach Otto Addo who trained with his 23 man squad in preparations of their game against Chad and Madagascar have high hopes of qualifying Ghana to 2026 FIFA World Cup which will be hosted in the USA, Canada, and Mexico respectively.

The team opened camp on Monday 17th March, with nine players reporting early to the team’s base at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.

These included Mohammed Salisu, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Razak Simpson, Gideon Mensah, Jojo Wollacott, Antoine Semenyo, Benjamin Asare, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, and Kamaradini Mamudu.

As at Tuesday 18th March, Fourteen additional players have since joined the squad, bringing the total number to 23. Among them are Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, Lawrence Agyekum, Alexander Djiku, Jonas Adjetey, Bonsu Baah, Francis Abu, Jerry Afriyie, Jerome Opoku, Ebenezer Annan, Ernest Nuamah, Inaki Williams, Mohammed Kudus, and Kingsley Schindler.

The Black Stars must secure a win to move to the top of their group and strengthen their chances of qualifying for the World Cup.
