The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has issued a stern warning to former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, stating that if he fails to appear for investigations on June 2, 2025, he will be declared wanted once again.
According to the OSP, failure to comply will trigger an Interpol Red Notice and extradition proceedings in any country where he may be found. This follows reports that Ofori-Atta has sued the OSP for declaring him a fugitive.
The legal standoff escalated after the OSP named him a fugitive earlier this year over alleged corruption and financial misconduct—claims he has strongly denied.
While the former minister insists he has cooperated through his lawyers, he is seeking a court injunction to prevent the OSP from reissuing the wanted declaration.
Ofori-Atta argues that the public pronouncement has severely damaged his reputation and personal life.
He now wants the court to restrain the OSP from making further declarations against him until the case is legally settled.
