Northern regional minister orders NPP women’s organizer to vacate government bungalow

The Northern Regional Minister, Adolf Ali John, has issued an ultimatum to the Northern Regional Women’s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hajia Rahana Abdul Aziz, to vacate a government bungalow she continues to occupy despite no longer holding an official position in the current administration.

Hajia Rahana, the former Northern Regional Coordinator of the School Feeding Programme, has remained in the state-owned residence, causing frustration among party supporters.

The minister has directed her to vacate the premises by April 2025 to allow the newly appointed School Feeding Programme coordinator to move in.

Speaking at the handing-over ceremony of the School Feeding office at the Regional Coordinating Council, Minister Adolf Ali John expressed concern over the delay, stating that the new coordinator has been left stranded.

“Since power has changed, I was expecting that whoever was occupying the bungalow would have vacated it by now. That has not been the case, so I am appealing to the occupant to do the needful so we can prepare the place for the rightful person,” he emphasized.

The situation has sparked outrage among party supporters, with many calling for a swift resolution to avoid further tension within the party and the region.
