Lecturers at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) School of Medical Sciences have launched an indefinite strike over prolonged delays in promotions and career progression.

The lecturers, speaking to Joy News, voiced their frustration over meeting all academic and professional requirements but still facing stalled promotions.

Some are even contemplating leaving the university due to the limited career advancement opportunities.

The lecturers are urging the university’s management and relevant authorities to address their concerns swiftly.
