Eight people lost their lives, and six others sustained injuries in a tragic accident on the Akyem Boadua road in the Eastern Region on Friday, March 7, 2025.
According to reports, five victims died on the spot, while three others succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The vehicle, traveling from Kade to Accra, was allegedly speeding despite passengers’ pleas to slow down.
The accident occurred after the driver lost control due to poor visibility caused by overgrown bushes along the road. The vehicle somersaulted seven times. Shockingly, the driver fled the scene.
Emergency services transported the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have launched a manhunt for the driver and urged the public to provide any information that could assist in his arrest.
