Joyce Bawa Mogtari threatens legal action against false publications

Joyce Bawa Mogtari, an aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, has warned that she will take legal action against anyone who spreads false information about her.

She stated that since the New Patriotic Party (NPP) lost the 2024 elections, she has been the target of various attacks and misinformation.

While she has previously ignored such accusations, she now intends to challenge any false claims legally.

In a social media post, Mogtari criticized the NPP’s alleged attempts to undermine her reputation, particularly regarding the acquisition of a personal vehicle.

She insisted that her purchase fully complied with her Conditions of Service and all legal requirements, adding that she has never been under investigation for it.

She further pointed out that the valuation of vehicles is handled by the State Transport Corporation (STC), and any concerns regarding pricing should be directed at them, not her.

Mogtari concluded by reaffirming her commitment to the law and warning that she will not tolerate defamatory statements, emphasizing that Ghanaians rejected the NPP due to its incompetence.
