Chiana Pio elected Council of State representative of the Upper East region.

Pe Ditundini Adiali Ayagitam III, the Paramount Chief of Chiana, has been elected as the region’s representative to Ghana’s Council of State.

The election took place on February 11, 2025, at the Upper East Regional House of Chiefs in Bolgatanga.

Pe Ditundini Adiali Ayagitam III, also known in private life as Thomas More Ditundini Adiali, has been the Chiana Pio since his enskinment on January 5, 2011.

The Council of State serves as an advisory body to the President of Ghana, providing counsel on national issues and contributing to the country’s governance.
