He reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to tackling its economic challenges and acknowledged China’s role in supporting the country’s economic recovery efforts.

“As we celebrate tonight, let us reflect on the deeper message of this festival. The world today faces many challenges—economic uncertainty, global conflicts, climate change, and emerging health concerns. Yet, the light of this festival reminds us that even in times of darkness, hope must never be lost,” he said.

Mahama further highlighted the importance of resilience and unity in overcoming global challenges, stressing that Ghana remains committed to strengthening its international partnerships for sustainable development.
