Veteran health professional and Upper East Council of State contestant, Thomas More, has disclosed that he personally financed the activities of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in its early years, including selling his car to support the party’s campaign.

As a founding member of the NDC in the Upper East Region, More recalled a critical period when the party urgently needed funds for its campaign, prompting him to make the difficult decision to part with his vehicle.

Despite his sacrifices and unwavering loyalty, he lamented being repeatedly overlooked for key political appointments.

“In 1993, I was promised the position of DCE for Bolgatanga, but at the last minute, someone else was given the role. The same happened in 1995 and subsequent years,” he revealed.

Now vying for a seat in the Council of State, Thomas More believes his election would serve as recognition of his long-standing dedication to the party and the region.
