The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP), Eric Adjei, has urged grassroots members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to refrain from opposing certain government appointments.
Concerns have been raised over the appointments of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Commissioner-General and the Director-General of the National Communications Authority (NCA), with some NDC supporters arguing that these individuals are not known party members.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Adjei dismissed these concerns, stating that political contributions are not always public. He emphasized that many party supporters work behind the scenes without appearing on television or radio.
“We should stop this pettiness. Not every party member can be on TV or radio communicating. The president believes these appointees can deliver results, so why mobilize protests against them?” he questioned.
He warned the grassroots against being manipulated for political agendas, urging them to focus on the party’s broader objectives. “In politics, don’t allow yourself to be used because it means you won’t be trusted with serious responsibilities,” he advised.
