Mahama Ayariga has defended the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s unwavering efforts to secure a resounding victory in the recent elections.
Speaking in an interview with Bernard Avle on Point of View, Ayariga explained the party’s strategy to dominate in key regions and constituencies.
“In some regions, we won everything—Upper East, Upper West. It was a clear indication of Ghanaians’ dissatisfaction with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), both as a government and a political party,” he stated.
Responding to concerns about the NDC’s aggressive campaign, particularly in constituencies like Auma North Central, Ayariga defended the party’s approach.
“You can’t blame them for that,” he said, attributing the determination to members’ resolve to hold the NPP accountable for its governance.
The NDC’s strong performance, he added, underscores a renewed trust from Ghanaians in the party’s ability to govern effectively.
Ayariga expressed optimism that this momentum would strengthen the NDC’s presence nationwide.
