Parliament’s Appointments Committee is set to vet three key ministerial nominees today, January 20, 2025, beginning at 8:30 am.
Nominees scheduled for vetting include Kwame Governs Agbodza for Roads and Highways, Haruna Iddrisu for Education, and Eric Opoku for Food and Agriculture.
They will face tough scrutiny to prove their readiness to manage these critical sectors.
This marks the second sitting of the committee, chaired by Bernard Ahiafor with Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah as vice chairperson.
Policy analyst Franklin Cudjoe, in a social media post, emphasized the importance of rigorous questioning, highlighting the need for a performance-driven approach to assessing nominees.
He echoed calls for transparency in tracking the objectives, outcomes, and progress of ministers.
