Every child deserves the best in life – Kuami Eugene

Ghanaian Highlife and Afrobeats star Kuami Eugene has opened up about his love for children and his commitment to giving back to society, drawing from his personal experiences growing up.

“I think every child deserves everything they can get in life. But then again, that’s not what’s happening,” Kuami Eugene said in an interview on Joy Prime, reflecting on his upbringing.

Raised by loving but financially limited parents, the singer shared how his childhood shaped his drive to support children. “We used to live on the streets, so I didn’t get to enjoy things like the children’s park or typical childhood experiences,” he revealed.

This inspiration has driven him to create joyful opportunities for children, especially during festive seasons. Kuami Eugene announced a family-friendly Christmas event that promises fun at affordable prices.

“It’s not about the money. If I can make 20,000 kids happy in one day, the blessings from God are worth more than anything,” he explained.

The conversation also highlighted Kuami Eugene’s faith. He spoke about a gospel album he recorded before signing with Lynx Entertainment, which he occasionally shares freely as a way to uplift others.

He credited his success to divine intervention and mentorship. “Richie Mensah saw this poor boy from the streets and made me who I am today. It’s my responsibility to help others, not for money, but because I believe in extending kindness.”
