Award-winning artist Fasetwo, a two-time Upper East Music Awards Artiste of the Year, has lamented the lack of financial support for musicians in the Upper East Region.
Speaking on Showbiz Hour on Bolgatanga-based Dreamz FM, the renowned artist and producer disclosed that financial stability remains his greatest challenge despite his accomplishments.
“My number one challenging factor is financial stability, as Upper East investors are not ready to support artists,” Fasetwo revealed.
While he owns a studio for recording, he emphasized that the cost of mastering music—critical for quality production—has been a significant hurdle due to limited financial resources.
Fasetwo’s remarks come on the heels of his latest victory at the 2024 Upper East Music Awards, where he bagged a cash prize of GHC 21,000 from Happy man bitters as Artiste of the Year.
Despite this achievement, he noted that such recognition often falls short of attracting consistent local investment.
