Renowned environmental advocate and cycling enthusiast, James Kumbeni, has unveiled Yendi as the next destination in his ongoing Nationwide #ClimateAction Cycling Tour.
The initiative, aimed at raising awareness about climate change and celebrating Ghana’s cultural heritage, has garnered widespread attention.
In a statement, Kumbeni expressed his excitement:
“This journey is about more than just cycling – it’s about highlighting cycling’s critical role in combating climate change while showcasing Ghana’s breathtaking tourism attractions and vibrant cultural heritage.”
The tour schedule covers a variety of locations over four days, starting from Bolgatanga and culminating in Yendi.
Route Schedule:
Day 1 (Monday, 20th January): Bolga – Walewale – Langbinsi – Gambaga – Nalerigu
Day 2 (Tuesday, 21st January): Nakpanduri – Yunyoo – Bunkprugu
Day 3 (Wednesday, 22nd January): Chereponi – Saboba
Day 4 (Thursday, 23rd January): Yendi
Kumbeni’s initiative promotes cycling as an eco-friendly alternative to carbon-emitting transportation methods.
It also serves as a platform to highlight the beauty and culture of Ghana, drawing attention to the rich heritage of the northern regions.
