Peter Ayinbisa, Upper East Regional Communications Director of the NPP, has lauded Hon. Donatus Akamugre Atanga’s nomination as Regional Minister, calling him the ideal choice for the role.
Speaking on A1 Radio, Ayinbisa praised Akamugre’s diligence, traditional values, and deep understanding of the region, rooted in 30 years of NDC experience. “He knows the ins and outs of the party and the region, making him the perfect man for the job,” Ayinbisa said.
He recalled their collaboration at the Bongo District Assembly in 2005, highlighting Akamugre’s meticulous work ethic and leadership potential. Despite being overlooked for key NDC roles in the past, Ayinbisa believes this nomination recognizes Akamugre’s unwavering dedication.
Ayimbisa acknowledged the challenges ahead, including high public expectations and pressure to resolve ongoing issues like the Bawku conflict. However, he expressed confidence in Akamugre’s ability to deliver, emphasizing his knowledge of chieftaincy and tradition as key assets.
“Akamugre must work hard to meet the benchmark set by his predecessors,” Ayinbisa noted. “The region expects results, and he has the experience to succeed.”
